Ma: 0.01654
Age basis: radiocarbon (uncalibrated)
Geography comments: said in the English abstract to be from "about 3 km. to the south west of the village of Reshuitangcun of Yuanmou county... on the top of Balan mountain"
there is a Reshuitangcun in Yunnan, but it's in Yongde County, and there's apparently no Balan Mountain or Balanshan
the Chinese text says the site was discovered by farmers from Shuishuikuo Village and was in Liangzi Fissure Cave in Xiaomidi, Xishan Mountain, but it also says it is 3 km SW of Rehuihu Village in Longquan Township, Yuanma District, on the north side of Paran Mountain
there is a Xiaomidi immediately to the southeast of Yuanmou County and none of these other place names is of any help, so I assume this Xiaomidi is the location
there is one radiocarbon date on bone of 16, 540 +/- 1470 BP

Environment
Lithology: siliciclastic (mixed)
Taphonomic context: cave, fissure fill
Habitat comments: "cave-fissure deposit... redbrown silts, clayey soils and includes some breccia and lesser lime nodules"
possibly "related to human activity although human fossils had not been recovered in the site" and there are apparently no artefacts
the translated Chinese text regarding the lithology isn't interpretable
