Type specimen: UF/IGM 67, a partial skeleton (Nearly complete skull, 7 vertebrae and 9 ribs). Its type locality is Cerrejón Coal Mine (clay layer below Coal Seam 90), which is in a Paleocene/Paleocene floodplain claystone/lignite in the Cerrejón Formation of Colombia.
